Boys Boarding School in Mumbai

A school is a place where a child begins their educational journey. The first step of the education ladder is school; a child takes the initial education and makes their way up to professional education and then finally builds their career. How a child thinks, how one takes a decision, how one perceives the world, and how one keeps their behavior is way more precious than literal education; this is an integral part of the school curriculum. The personality development and shaping of a student's character are what a school does from the very initial stage of life.

When a child enters the school, they are as raw as molten clay. The teachers and the teaching, school management, friends, life experiences, and the journey that a child draws from the initial ages shape that clay into an efficient pot. Learning is taking knowledge from books and other educational sources, but it is more with social and spiritual wisdom and respecting everyone.

Boys boarding schools have always been popular and strictly managed with discipline. There is always a myth, or it can be called fear; parents mainly introduce boarding education as a caged education. Boarding education is way different from day schooling as the students here are almost on their own while the instruction is similar in both ways. There is nothing to be threatened or fearful about, about boarding schools. Boys are more familiar with boarding education as they are settled under strict discipline and even schedule where the students are shaped well and strong enough to handle life possibilities.

Single-Sex education vs. Co-education

Single-sex education has a lot of academic and non-academic advantages over the students. Like the students in single-sex education are more likely to score better. Even being around the same-sex gives much more confidence to the students. Without being pointed out publically, a student can confront their individuality amongst the similar sex. Also, in the same-sex education, students do not become the victim of gender stereotypes or taboos that are being practiced for ages; like girls cannot be good at maths and physics, or sports like cricket or football are not for girls, etc. The students were found more comfortable with similar individuals as they do not have to take care or hesitate or feel shy about their appearance or clothing, it is more fun and enjoyable. To understand better the cause of this, let us take an everyday example like we are more comfortable talking to a stranger of the same sex or while we visit any new place the first person we try to interact with is most probably of the same sex.

Apart from this, social upbringing is restricted in the same-sex school. The students from all-boys or all-girls schools find it difficult to communicate with the opposite gender and feel a sense of discomfort. If the school is a single-sex school, it is possible that their university education is co-ed and if not then for sure within a professional surrounding they have to work together with all sexes. We all live in a society, and the genders are the two sides of the balance, one is incomplete without another. This is the basic cause why co-education is being promoted.
