A BRIEF INTRODUCTION TO LUDHIANA

Ludhiana was established between 1451-1526 A.D. when the Lodhi dynasty was ruling Delhi. Originally, Ludhiana was called ‘Lodhi-ana' which translates to Lodhi's town. From then, to now, Ludhiana has become one of the most known places of Punjab. The city has an area of 310 kilometers square. Located on the old bank of the famous river Satluj, the city has a vibrant culture and qualities. The people of Ludhiana are loving and welcoming.

Ludhiana, as a tourist place has many things to offer. The city was ranked first for presenting everyone with the best business environment in the year 2009-2013.

PLACES TO VISIT IN LUDHIANA

Religious spots to visit in Ludhiana include Gurudwara Manji Sahib, Gurudwara Charan Kamal, Shivala Sangliwala Temple, Rara Sahib Gurudwara, Bhir Mosque, and Pir-I-Dastgir Shrine. The city also has many museums and forts (Maharaja Ranjit Singh Museum, Punjab Agricultural University Museum, Lodhi Fort, Punjab Agricultural University Museum, and Museum of Rural History of Punjab.
