Rishikesh hosts the most stunning nightly aarti along the Ganga, which is not as overcrowded as its counterparts in Varanasi and Haridwar. In the first week of March, the International Yoga Festival takes place here, attracting yoga practitioners from all over the world. Rishikesh is separated into two main areas: the city center, recognized as Rishikesh town, and the Triveni Ghat, which is a renowned tourist attraction. The other side of Rishikesh, 2 km upstream from the famed Ram Jhula and Lakshman Jhula, seems to be where the popular ashrams, eateries, lodging, and tourists can be found. The towns of Haridwar and Rishikesh will be the first in India to be designated as "twin national historic cities."
EDUCATION IN RISHIKESH
Uttarakhand has a literacy rate of 79.63 percent, making it India's 17th most literate state. The state's literacy rate differs between males and females. According to the 2011 census, male and female literacy rates are 80.33 percent and 70.70 percent, respectively. When comparing the literacy rates of the state's several districts, Dehradun, Nainital, Chamoli, Pithoragarh, and Pauri Garhwal come out on top.
