Schools are extremely important in our lives. If you believe that going to school and writing hundreds of college papers is a waste of time, you are mistaken. Your quality of life and decision-making abilities will improve if you are well trained. The following are some of the reasons why school is so critical in our lives. Most students dislike having to get up early almost every day to go to school. Then you'll have to sit in a classroom for up to eight hours trying to make sense of various learning materials. Then there's the never-ending homework that comes with every day's learning. As you've seen, school can be tedious, irritating, and repetitive. Nonetheless, the value of education cannot be overstated. That is why our parents put pressure on us to do well in school. If you don't go to school, you'll miss out on a lot of life opportunities.

ABOUT ROORKEE

Roorkee is a city in Uttaranchal, located in the Haridwar district. It lies 30 kilometres from Haridwar, on the National Highway-58, on the banks of the Ganga. The name Roorkee comes from Ruri, the wife of a Rajput tribal king. The Ganges Canal resulted in another first for Roorkee: India's first steam engine, Jenny Lind (specially transported from England and moved on tracks in India), travelled between Roorkee and Piran Kaliyar on December 22, 1851, two years before the first passenger train ran between Bombay and Thane in 1853.

The railway line, which is operated by the Bengal Sappers, was established to transport earth for the construction of the Upper Ganges Canal aqueduct from Piran Kaliyar, which is 10 kilometres (6.2 miles) from the city. The locomotive rail routes have not been damaged. At Roorkee Railway Station, there is a recreation of the locomotive that is said to have looked like. In 1868, the city of Roorkee was established. It is now known as the Municipal Corporation. Since 1853, it had been home to the Bengal Sappers and Miners, as well as two artillery regiments. The Roorkee Cantonment now houses a sizable army base. Today, the Bengal Engineering Group and Centre (BEG&C) exists.

The Roorkee Tehsil, in the Saharanpur district of the United Province of the British Raj, was established in 1901, when the city had a population of 17,197. The tehsil included 426 villages (of the parganas of Jwalapur, Manglaur, and Bhagwanpur) and six towns, the most important of which were Haridwar and Manglaur. The Archaeological Survey of India has designated the city's Old Cemetery as a protected monument.
