CISCE- AN INTRODUCTION

The Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) and the Indian School Certificate (ISC) are two examinations which are conducted by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE). CISCE is a non-governmental board in India that was started in 1956. Based in New Delhi, the board is an all-India board, but unlike CBSE and NIOS, it is not sponsored by the government.

ICSE (Indian Certificate of Secondary Education) examination is a public board examination for kindergarten to 10th class students in India. The students have to choose seven subjects. Four are mandatory, and three are choice subjects.

Just like this, the Indian School Certificate (ISC) Examination is a public board for the students who are finishing 12th class. English or English language is compulsory for the students to choose as one of their subjects.

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) does not approve private candidates. The students must come from English medium schools which are following the curriculums of the CISCE. The examination is conducted in English medium other than the exam papers of languages.

Thousands of schools all over India are affiliated with the CISCE. The syllabus is quite challenging, but it prepares the students who are aspiring for IAS. The students have a better grasp of English as well.
